FPV System Engineer

About the role

What you will do

• Operate FPV-based aircraft with at least 2 years of practical flying experience, preferably in defence or FPV cinematography.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of FPV subsystems, including flight controllers, ESCs, motors, cameras, VTX, receivers, goggles, antennas, and communication links.
• Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot FPV hardware, communication modules, and video transmission systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform pre-flight checks, post-flight inspections, and system validation to identify video disturbances, signal interference, communication failures, and hardware malfunctions.
• Conduct flight testing under varied operating conditions, evaluate system performance, and identify system-level issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, electronics, firmware, and production teams to support FPV system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation covering system configurations, test results, troubleshooting procedures, and corrective actions.

What we are looking for

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace, with 2–3 years of FPV experience.
• Minimum 2 years of FPV flying experience in defence or cinematography.
• Knowledge of FPV components, communication modules, and analog/digital video transmission systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot signal interference, video issues, and communication failures.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, telemetry, OSD, and flight log analysis.
• Knowledge of RF fundamentals, antennas, link budgets, soldering, wiring, and hardware integration.
• Experience with long-range or defence FPV systems and drone pilot certification, where applicable.
